The Wendouree West Community wishes to sincerely thank Central Highlands Regional Library Corporation and staff for their continuing support of the Wendouree West Community Gateway.
The Gateway Project employed a project team to develop and create the portal in 2002.  When the funding for this ended, Central Highlands Regional Library Corporation, auspiced the project which is continuing up to date. Without the support of the CHRLC, in particular, Ms Julie Rae, CEO, and Mr Sam Gray, the Gateway Project would not be as successful as it is today.

The library service covers an area of 12,958 km, reaches a population of 156,310 (of whom 70,149 are members) and has a collection of 273,121 items. The library service lends 1,021,151 books and other items each year and employs the equivalent of 32 full time staff.

Branch libraries are located at Ararat, Avoca, Bacchus Marsh, Ballarat, Beaufort, Clunes, Creswick, Daylesford, Maryborough, Sebastopol and Wendouree. Our mobile library provides services to areas without easy access to a branch library, and housebound services are provided for those who are unable to physically attend a library service point.
