Wendouree West Community Gateway - About Us
About the
Wendouree West Community Gateway
The Wendouree West Community Gateway Project, funded
through Multi-Media Victoria,
is managed and auspiced by the Central Highlands Regional Library Coorporation
in collaboration with the Residents group of the Wendouree West Community Renewal Project, Wendouree West Community House, Office of Rural Communities, Regional Development Victoria, Department
of Human Services and the City of Ballarat.
A Steering committee is also overseeing the project with representatives from the above

The project involved a Community Jobs Program (CJP) managed by Highlands Personnel, which gave 8 Wendouree West residents the opportunity to gain part-time
employment for a period of 16 weeks in which the could learn about web design and help create and gather information for the Wendouree West Community Portal.

What is the
Purpose of the Gateway?
The Wendouree West Community Gateway (portal)
will provide an access point for residents on a wide range of topics. This
community portal will be a valuable tool for residents enabling the Wendouree
West community to showcase the Community Renewal process and also provide
relevant and timely information online.
Sam Gray has been appointed the
portal's co-ordinator and Sam is joined by a number of volunteers who are
working together to provide a dynamic, interactive, relevant portal.
