Traineeships
 Traineeships are designed to enhance skill levels and future employment prospects by providing structured entry-level training. Traineeships vary in length from 12 months to three years. Training is delivered in partnership with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), an employer and a trainee. New Apprenticeship training can be delivered on-the-job, off-the-job (eg TAFE) or a combination of both. The off-the-job training must be delivered by a training provider who is registered in Victoria to provide accredited training.

Apprenticeships
Traditional Apprenticeships and Traineeships are now called New Apprenticeships. New Apprenticeships provide flexible training which can be conducted either " on or off the job", or  combination of both, depending on the needs of the business. New Apprenticeships are not just about getting a job, it is also about the practical hands-on experience,  and gaining a qualification. If you successfully complete the New Apprenticeships, you not only end up with a nationally recognised certificate, you also show employers that you have gained the practical experience that   industry demands.
